At StoneCutter we are group of human beings striving to be better, support one another, and serve each other.
Each month, in order to get to know our StoneCutter community better, we highlight an Athlete of the Month.
This is an athlete has exhibited determination, growth, and a commitment to our core values. They challenge and encourage their fellow athletes on a daily basis and represent CrossFit StoneCutter with pride.
Congratulations to our February 2019 Athlete the Month, Tiffany Ayers.
Why did you start CrossFit?
My husband wanted to do a Spartan Race and we needed a way to train for it, so he suggested we try CrossFit. I was hesitant at first, but after we tried it I didn’t want to stop.
Why do you continue to be part of the CrossFit Community?
Because it makes me feel GOOD! I’m a stay at home and I have to my sanity and I love the results from it.
Your a very active mom with two kids. What is your favorite part of being a mom?
Getting to experience childhood again through them and seeing the world through their eyes. They keep me busy, and I love being busy. Even when I worked full time, I loved being busy.
What principles or core values do you use to keep your direction in life focused?
First, you have to make yourself a priority. You can’t pour from an empty cup. Life is about ups and downs. Its not going to be 100 percent perfect all the time. Knowing that pain is temporary and is going to pass is what gets me through. Obstacles are there to help you learn and grow and move on.
What is something that no one would every guess about you, other than that your from Mississippi -??
I am kind of a home body. We have traveled a lot for Auston’s job, and that’s probably why people wouldn’t guess either one.
